If I add my kids to my auto insurance will I have to pay right away or will they bill me later?

I just got my permit and I really want to start driving but my mom says I can't unitl she gets onsurance on me and my vrothers. We have state farm, so if she wanted to get insurance now would they bill you later or do you pay now?

If your mom adds you on her insurance, they pro-rate your bill. Say your insurance term is from July to January and you were added on in August, then they pro-rate the amount. Your mom would be charged for August through January.

Most insurance works by you paying before they will cover a risk.

In Texas some companies insure student drivers for free for up to six months while they hold a learner's permit or until they turn 16. Check with the agent and make sure you get it in writing in case the rules change. Good luck!

Nobody here can possibly tell you. Every company is different and we don't know what company you have.

Why don't you just call your company and ask them ?
