I have a few questions on leopard geckos... Please read description below.

1) can a leopard gecko live in a storage crate, or bin without lighting, but live in a basic setup?

2) does a leopard gecko need lighting?

3) if I decide to get a leopard gecko, does it need a heating pad of some sort?

4) does it matter if it lives in a glass tank or a storage bin?

It does not need lighting, it does need a heat pad. As to the bin or tank, I'm not sure. Please make sure you only ever feed them live insects!

Leopard geckos do not require UV lighting as their diet provides them with the necessary nutrients. Light can be for aesthetic purposes only. They also exist in any set up provided they get the necessary ventilation and temperatures of 84-88 f. Their natural habitat is quite warm, so you will need a heating pad/mat for this.
