Use the point-slope formula to find this (that's pretty obvious, since you were given the POINT and the SLOPE) so that formula is (y-y1)=m(x-x1) so,
(-4-y1)=-5/8(7--4)
(-4-y)=-5/8(7+4) (two negatives make a positive)
-4-y=-35/8-20/8 (distribute the -5/8)
-4-y=-55/8 (add the two terms)
-y=-55/8 + 4
-y=-55/8+32/8 (32/8=4)
-y=-23/8 (divide both sides by -1)
y=23/8
(or 2.875)

The missing y coordinate is 2.875. To get that you say -5/8 (7,-4) (-4, _) which will give you y+4/-4-7 =-5/8.Therefore, 8(y+4) = -5 (-4-7), 8y+32= 20 +35, 8y=20+35-32 top get 8y=20+3. So, you say 8y/8=23/8 which is 2.875.
