What do people mean when they say "jailbreaking an iPod touch"?

If u jail brake your I pod your gonna get a ton of free aps but then again it is legal but then apple the company won't want nothing to do with you they will take away your warranty. So people do that so they can customize wall paper and free aps also free music.. Ha :) hope I helped

When you jailbreak an iPod it removes most of the limitations that it had before.

Jailbreak means bypassing Apple proprietary software to load an application Apple does not endorse. You can google how to jailbreak IPhone and get step by step instructions, but you will be violating your warranty or extra protection agreements.
