Yes. You probably don't realize or appreciate it now, but your dad is doing you a favor. Alcohol can only lead to no good. Have you ever heard of ANYTHING positive that came from drinking? As far as the job goes, maybe he thinks if you're not bored, you won't feel the need to drink. My ex-husband and my son are alcoholics and it has done nothing but destroy their lives. Even if you're not one now, it's so addictive that it's easy to become an alcoholic without even realizing it. Do yourself a favor and stay away from it. Good luck to you!
