Why do we not have free health care? i do not understand that when someone is hurt they have to pay? What if they can't afford it?

I think helping people for free is the best choice, i mean common your helping someone that really needs it and you would feel good about it after, isnt that what counts?

How are the health care workers supposed to feed their families if they don't get paid? Like it or not, nothing is free.

You can't be for real. This is the real world. People work to make a living. Why do you want something for nothing? No one in this country gets turn down for medical care.

They don't have to pay..most don't. There is free healthcare..it's called welfare, or prison. Nothing is free. With free healthcare comes extra taxes, and extra taxes are taken out of hard working, honest people's paychecks. Why not give free healthcare to people who do WORK, but their employer does not provide insurance.? That sounds a little bit more reasonable, then just throwing it out there to people who feel they deserve to sit around and have everything given to them.

If you keep voting Republican, there never will be subsidised health care!!! Come to Australia or New Zealand where the health care IS largely free. But you can care for yourself by learning as much as possible about your special needs. Do a course in Homeopathy or Herbal medicine and most of your remedies are free (grow them in your garden) or mere pennies to buy. Contact my friend Dorene at dorenepetersen@achs.edu

Most of my patients do not pay for the healthcare I provide and they use me as their doctor's office. However if I go to an ER, I must pay a $150 copay, in addition to the ER bill, the ER doctor's bill, and any tests performed.
