Would this be considered an oxymoron?

I have lost my faith in the human race, but not in people...

Because I like to see who the smart people are. I like everything educational & interesting conversation
And that's a way to get some dialog
Going.I see some wrong answers already,make sense? Would you rather I put up silly stuff?

People means "human beings in general or considered collectively" according to "The New Oxford American Dictionary". So yes your phrase is an oxymoron.

I don't believe it is an oxymoron. An oxymoron is when two contradictory words are used in conjunction. Your sentence appears to be a simple contradiction. An example of an oxymoron would be "living death", "cruel kindness" or "pretty ugly".
