What can I take to stop being constipated?

I have taken laxatives but ones it wears off I go back to being constipated. is there something else I can take? is this bad?

Eat some prunes and drink prune juice that should and will do the trick Go see a Dr if it has been a while since you have gone last

Well pregnant women get constipated A LOT! Not sure if you're pregnant, but umm maybe you should change your diet as well.

Ummm you can drink a spoonful of olive oil... It's nasty but it works... Or switch your diet for a day or two and for meals eat only raw vegitables like raw cauliflower and raw carrots. I hope this helps... If you're still having a problem, go see a doctor.

Being constipated is very bad, because it comes from your diet. Natural laxatives could be prunes or linseed. To avoid constipation, eat foods that help regulate bowel movements, such as spinach, activia yogurts, etc. Hope this helps!

Laxatives are defiantly bad they screw up your digestive system. So stop that! Haha. But seriously stop. I tend to get constipated as a period symptom or pms. You could just need more fiber and excersise. (can't spell) try to eat more beans and fruits and vegetables. Have some fiber supplements or fiber bars.

My daughter had that problem after a recent surgery. She found eating prunes worked amazingly!

No not at all. My mother used prunes for us with constipation or even real hard poohs.

I have the same problem. Drink lots of water, and I find that when I eat fruit it helps a lot. I have also been told that Dr. Pepper has prune juice in it and can also help with constipation. I know it can be super uncomfortable, so hope this helps.

Eat more fresh fruit and veggies and add more fiber to your diet. Olive oil works great as a laxative and it's much better for you than pills! Drink plenty of water, too. If you do these things consistently, you will have very few bowel problems in life!
