My dog eats more then soap, thinfs like curtains, razors, electrical wires, shoes, stuffed animals, socks, paper, home work (im not joking),silverware and plates, anything plastic, and soap. So I dont have an answer accept for that he just likes the taste?

My dog used to eat much worse things than that--like cat "by-products"
From what my vet said, it's common for dogs to eat soap and lots of other weird stuff. (Like what I said.)

I only discovered the other day that she's actually a sprechthund. That's German for a dog you can speak to.

No, I hadn't figured it out. It's not something that ever concerns me -- unless somebody is trying to convert me.

I've gotta confess that I've reacted too strongly to religious rants at times, but I'm trying to stay out of those questions now.

Pls go to wwwpetmd.com for your answers. Plug in & get answers live from a vet. Eating soap will upset your dog's stomach & isn't good for them.

For the same reason they like to chew on rocks and lick up what the cat pukes up (as well as "treats" out of the litter box) and eats paper of any kind. Dogs eat all kinds of things they shouldn't. Which is why it's our job to watch out for them and make sure they can't access what can be harmful.
