What causes a four year old to have severe pain in their stomach causing them to wake up screaming and causes them to vomit?

The baby could be suffering from ulcers or food poisoning. You need to take the four year old to the doctor immediately so that you can know what is going on.

No one can determine THAT but a doctor. If the pain continues or it concerns you, get some professional advice.

We all get upset tummies (adults and children) from time to time. If the pain goes away .. you may never know what caused it .. but if the pain continues or it happens again .. get it checked out.
