What do the aliens in science fiction usually think of humans?

A lot of aliens like Vulcans and others have various different opinions on humans.

They probably think we're ignorant greedy corrupt wastes of life who abuse our resources and don't look out for our own kind.

from books and movies they seem to despise us as inferior life forms and then are surprised when we rebel and fight back!! those abducted find them curious about us! jajaja

Depends on the person writing the story or screen play. Since it all comes from tgmhe authors' imaginations its going to vary.
