What is the difference between compact florescent light bulbs and regular light bulbs ?

is the light quality the same ?

Compact Florescent Light (CFL) which use less electricity almost 75% less energy but give more light on the other hand regular bulb use more electricity .Other than that CFL bulb has three different color 1) Day Light - Which gives bright white light.2) Soft white - which gives little yellowish light and 3) Bright white - which gives white light but not like day light. CFL bulb also comes various color as party bulb. If your goal is to save money at the end of the year better buy LED bulb, which is little more expensive to buy but you will save a lot of money and they last more than regular and CFL bulb.

The "color" of the light is a bit different, but as far as lumens go, the new cfl bulbs are designed to be the equivalent of the old incandescent bulbs. I really do prefer the new cfls... they stay cooler, last longer, and take less electricity.

Florescent bulbs have mercury in them- use LED. Brighter, less energy cost and MUCH safer.
