How long to wait to ask out girl after she got out of a relationship?

The rule of thumb is, one week for every 3 months of the length of the relationship. If she was with him for 1 year, wait about a month. It takes a while to undo the oxytocin-mediated bonding and to get over him. Course, it's a general rule and lots of latitude can apply in different situations.

It depends who broke up with who, why the relationship ended, the girl, and how much she likes you. I think about a week or two.

Does she like you? If she does then you can give it a try as soon as she breaks up, so if she does like you she probably will accept you.
