3rd wheel?! Help please. /:

well tomorrow I'm going to a public swim pool with my friend her boyfriend then I'm babysitting a 4 years old. the toddler is amazing!! she's not in the problem at all! it's me feeling like the 3rd wheel around my BFF and her bf. I sometimes feel jealous of her since I'm single. should I invite someone to go with us to occupy me or not. ?/: thanks in advance

I've been third wheel when my BFF and my other BFF started dating.

Try to make them happy if they like eachother a lot. Dont burst out in flames, but tell your bestie that you feel like the third wheel. Hopefully she'll understand.

And yes, do invite a guy or someone over. It can take your mind off all the third wheel-ness.

If you are going to be babysitting a 4 year old at a pool - you aren't going to have any time to be worrying about your friend and her boyfriend. You are going to be busy keeping the 4 year old safe.

I think she means she's babysitting afterwards.

Ahh... sorry!!

So the kid would be there half the day at the pool? Just invite a friend for half the day, or the whole day and they could help watch the kid. =)

You can't expect her to drop her boyfriend for you. Once someone gets into a serious relationship with someone else, they quickly lose friends, ESPECIALLY when you're a teen.

If they don't mind I would invite someone to go with you when you go to the swim pool with them. That way you won't feel bored or awkward like a 3rd wheel.

Just bring a friend along if it really bothers you.

A 'public pool' isn't exactly an inviting place,so to speak, Dont go if you're uncomfortable. If you have a single male friend that you kind of like, invite him to come babysit with you.You never know,in a setting like that you may find the two of you would like to casually hang out and do your own thing.Don't rush life, life does that all on it's own. Good Luck....gotogo..................................see ?
