There isn't much known about how Mary Todd Lincoln lived with her husband, Abraham Lincoln, so it's impossible to tell whether she was a good spouse or not. She was very abusive & just plain nuts. She would yell & scream, throw things at him, poured hot coffee in to his crouch She'd rant & rave about everything

I remember reading one of Lincoln's biographies that described her as a perfect candidate for bi-polar medication - apparently she was a handful for honest Abe to put up with.
