Lust is an emotion or feeling of intense desire in the body. The lust can take any form such as the lust for knowledge, the lust for sex or the lust for power. It can take such mundane forms as the lust for food as distinct from the need for food. Lust is a powerful psychic force producing intense wanting for an object, or circumstance fulfilling the emotion.
The dictionary definition of lust is 1) intense or unrestrained sexual craving, or 2) an awesome need or craving. The Bible speaks of lust in many ways in which. Exodus, "Do not commit adultery. . . don't covet your neighbor?s house. don't covet your neighbor?s wife, male or feminine servant, ox or donkey, or the rest your neighbor owns. But I say, anyone who even appearance at a girl with lust in his eye has already committed adultery along with her in his heart." Job sums up lust quite nicely: "For lust may be a shameful sin, against the law that ought to be punished. it's a devastating hearth that destroys to hell. it'd wipe out everything I own."
