If im on Skype while having wifi will it still use my data?

and if it does how bad does it drain. give estimat for how much date per minute. also there is Skype wifi, does that totally release data charge when using skype? this is all from my iPhone

If you are on Skype while having Wi-Fi, it will use your data. However, if you have unlimited data plan, you shouldn't incur any extra data charges for using Skype. If you have data limit, talk to your provider for full details.
