I recently bought a new lamp for my projector I've used it for about thirty hours but it says i need to replace the lamps again why is this?

it is a sharp notevision projector

Its not just the lamp, there is another part that is more expensive I forgot the name of the part, I had the same problem but with a sony brand. I suggest you get insurance for it. don't let them know their is a problem with it they wont cover it, you'll have to wait 30 days before the insurance kicks in and after the 30 days call them and have them come out to check what the problem is, trust me get the insurance, its cheaper than buying the part. In my situation my insurance was gonna cost me $130, and without insurance it was gonna cost me $1000 but I accidently let them know their was a problem before I purchased the insurance so they would nor sell me insurance until I fixed it. You are unable to continue using the new lamp you got for your Sharp Notevision projector probably because the main board or the ballast is faulty. If the projector particularly has a red solid light, you will need to have it checked out by a professional.

the red light was blinking if that means anything.
