You could write about an event that took place in your life that was hard, but you still managed to get through it. You could change the names of some people, then BANG! you have a story. Write about anything. Mystery, romance, history - anything that comes to you. Hope I helped :)

The best things to do is to find the age of children/teen that your writing a story for, and go to the library to find some books that are appropriate for their age and might just give you a ring of the bell that's been sound asleep the whole time!
Just think of a story like this, get a sheet of paper and write all this down first off in a story you need characters: protagonist - (main character) supporting characters - (allies with the protagonist) and you also need a setting(s) - (where the story or conflict will take place) And an Antagonist - (villain or main problem to the main character) next you need a conflict something the character has to accomplish or someone he/she has to beat. Now just let your imagination do the work and watch as your story plays out in your head. Remember to always check and rewrite any mistakes in the process making sure everything is understood properly.
