When mine escapes she goes to a closet... just look in small areas, chances are it will want food and come out and get it. Leave the cage door open and watch for a while, maybe it will go to the cage to get food. Also, what i did (kind of weird but it worked) i got down on the ground, shut everything off (air conditioner, telivision) anything that made noise, and i listened. I went in every room, and eventually found her. Hope this helps....lol
heres a few ways: 1: get a large bucket with steep smooth sides and put something soft for it to land on inside. then put a treat and some food for it in there. make a staircase out of books with a tiny bit of food on each step, leading up to the bucket. only a tiny bit so it will keep climbing 4 more. it should climb up and fall in, wanting food. (and having no depth perception) 2. put food in each room. which ever is gone next morning is the room your hamsters in. 3. put a pile of food on the floor with flour around it a lot on all sides. it will come to eat the food, and u can follow its flour tracks to where its hiding at night!!
