When an animal mounts another animal of that sex it is for superiority purposes. It doesn't mean that it's gay. That is how animals communicate who is boss. I'm sure if you have a few dogs there is one alpha male that has mounted or attempted to mount the other dogs to show that it is in charge. It is no different with animals in the wild.

Also, in Genesis it says that God breathed life into the man, not the animals. So that means they don't have a soul nor spirit. They live by God's guidelines called instincts. They can be loyal, but that's not love. But that's my thought, you don't have to except it or like it.

Keliee1, thank you for your answer. I also believe God loves us for WHO we are, as He created us, but not for WHAT we have become. And perhaps unconditionally, though I didn't find that in the Bible,but if you, as a parent, (when and if you get to that stage in life) will love your child unconditionally, still you are going to punish that child when it disobeys you and does wrong. You have to in order to teach it.

Yeah, but by that same token isn't any non-intercourse sexual acts between heterosexuals wrong since it won't end in procreation. That would also make any priory of birth control including condoms wrong in some level. And sex between two people and one or both happen to be infertile would also be wrong too. I doubt this.

Yeah, but by that same standard, then any heterosexual, non-intercourse sexual acts are wrong. So too is sex between two heterosexuals(straight people) wherein one or both are infertile. Also, that'd make heterosexuals using any form of birth control(including condoms wrong). And any heterosexual relationships that aren't sexual are also wrong. None of those things would usually end in having a baby, so they must be seen as a sin too according to your reasoning.

Rigbyeahuh, (Whew! I can't spell your name!) anyway thanks for your comments. According to my understanding of the Bible, God made sex as an act to procreate, but also as an act of pure pleasure between a man and his wife to enjoy at their will.

If I were God I 'd be more worried about polygamy/poly amouris. Now that's gross. People are souls right? Your soul is supposed to go to heaven, so who cares if those two souls (who are hopefully faithful to and in love with each other) have the same genitals. Love is love and if there's a God I think he/she/they/it would be open minded and loving, not judgmental.

I, for one, are sure glad you're not God, ha!ha! But God is judgmental and judging all of us is part of what He's going to do! If God didn't care what kind of sins we commit, He would not have inspired the Bible to be written to show us the way and detail in that Bible what is sin and what is not. But he should. Polygamy is disgusting and a joke to the word love. I can't believe there are so many people who are opposed to homosexual marriage between TWO loving souls/people when there's people in polygamist realationships teaching THAT as a way of life to their billion kids. It's sad. That's way worse in my opinion. Real love is between souls. If I marry someone it'll be because I love them, the body is nice but it's not what defines a person. Our physical selves are part of the attraction, but ultimately do you love who you love because of who they are or what's between their legs? I'm not a believer in the bible. I'm agnostic if anything. I believe there's something and/or someone and if they made people I think they love them for who they are, including homosexuals. I see 100% nothing wrong with it or them being allowed to marry. But we're not going to change each others opinions or logic, so whatever.

God loves you for who you are but he may not always like what you are doing. For example: in the old testament of the bible, God destroyed Soddam and Gomorra because guys were having sex with other guys and doing other evil things. If you claim and practice being gay or lesbian, God still loves you but he does not agree with your lifestyle. I am a firm believer that a man and a woman should be with each other but if I see a man and a man together or a woman and a woman together, that just makes me want to pray for that couple to turn away from their sins. I cannot and will not tell people what to do when it comes to their sex life, but I can only hope that they will turn from their ways.
What really get me is when a guy says he was born gay or when a woman says she was born a lesbian. God does not make you born gay or lesbian. People choose to be gay or lesbian because of the free power to choose.

Yes it does say that God destroyed those men. But can we safely assume that this was not exactly correct. I believe in the Bible bug I don't believe that God would make us and call us his children. You see God as a god of love and peace and harmony. But that thought process is incomplete with a lil factor you forgot: Jehovah God is also the god of wrath. He can get angry, do angry that He would destroy a whole culture and group of people.

Just because society promotes homosexuality doesnt mean its right. its wrong. but that doesnt mean we cannot be friends with or love that person. That's a good answer, god loves all his children, but i dont see any reason for us to persecute homosexuals. When the time comes God will be the one to judge them. I do think that churches and private organizations should have the right to deny homosexuals or any person for that matter if joining the organization is a choice that a person can make to join or not to join.

Biblically speaking, sex between men is strictly forbidden as an unwholesome act. The most anyone can move on this position and remain Biblically based is to say that God permits it but still finds it appalling, just as he does with divorce. The Bible doesn't really speak clearly on the issue of sex between women or marriage between partners who do not have sex. This is an issue that should only be addressed within the Church, and in the civil arena same-sex unions should be allowed as God allowed them in the book of Romans for those outside the Church.

Sorry, but nothing in the OT applies to Christians. The OT is the bible of the Jews, and the G_d of the OT is NOT the G_d of the NT. That would be Jesus. Christ freed you from the LAW and gave you a new covenant. The G_d of the OT is always described as one enitity, not 3 in 1.

No, He hates it and is quite disgusted with it. He's especially disgusted when people think its what God intended. Yes the Bible says that God loves us the way we are. But that's a twisted interpretation of that idea. He loves us unconditionally as sinners by giving us a chance after chance to change. Why would there be so many religions, churches, pastors, rabbis, preachers, and all like that if God was going to accept us "just as we are"-- since all these people and organizations are trying to change our behavior and make us into better people. Therefore we strive to clean up our act and try not to sin so much but ask forgiveness for it when we do sin.

All of us have weaknesses (being gay is not one of mine, by the way). God gave us all weaknesses and imperfections so that we would be humble. There are some people who's brains were wired wrong and has made them attracted to the same gender as themselves. During the millenium, I am sure people will no longer be gay, and I am sure that those who come unto God can have their physical imperfections removed, but that does not mean that simply being attracted to another person of the same gender is a sin.

Here, I'll explain my psition as plain as I can: I believe that God gives all of us weaknesses so that we are not perfect, so we will not be prideful. I believe that one of these imperfections is being attracted to a person who is the same gender as yourself, which is gay. I believe that his imperfection is caused by the brain not developing correctly before birth, and the hormones are messed up, causing them to naturally be attracted to another person of their gender. Alright... I believe one is not born with this problem cuz, like I said before, I know a few people who were gay and changed when they found God. C'mon, a baby can't be born gay. That's ridiculous! Lol. I know we are born not perfect. Do you think a thief was born a thief? Or Hitler was born as a psycho and murderer? Of course not. I believe it's the same here... One is born straight, but with exposure to the idea of homosexuality as an "ok" thing, they slowly become ok with it and later Satan tricks them into thinking that they are attracted to the same gender. They become ok with it and live their lives like that. Plus they are lied to again by Satan as if they were born like that. That's my revelation on this subject :)

Absolutely not. Marriage and the family are the bedrock institutions of our society. The strength of a culture can be measured in accordance with the strength of its families. While homosexuals may desire to "marry" as a way to gain social acceptance and legal recognition, allowing them to do would hurt our society and its future. Think about it: If suddenly there are two real alternatives to choose from, and both appear equally acceptable in the eyes of the government, then the common institution of the family as we know God created it - growing from the love of one man and one women - would soon become one of the many options. This would wreak havoc on society because God's way is the best way. Going against His plans hurts not only those homosexuals attempting to marry, but the entire culture in which they live. Marriage is only possible between two spouses of opposite sexes. Based on the physical design of man and woman, it is obvious that men and women were made to be together. Strictly speaking then, "same-sex marriage" is an IMPOSSIBILITY; the very words themselves have no meaning. Though some Western countries - including Canada - have legalized so called "same-sex unions" and several U.S. states are considering such legislation, we must work to make sure that such unions do not become widespread. Marriage as a legal and social institution is intended to protect the family, especially to provide children with a stable, truly human environment in which to be conceived, nurtured, and educated. Homosexual couples are incapable of procreating naturally, and they don't provide a suitable environment for raising children because they lack the complementary nature of male and female love. Two moms do not equal a mom and dad, nor do two dads.

Absolutely not! Marriage was first invented by God in Genesis 2 to be between one man and one woman. Anything outside of this is a sin. This is demonstrated EVERYWHERE in the Bible if you want to look in Leviticus, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Romans 1:26-28 says "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. But I did see one answer that asked "If it wasn't, why did God create homosexuals?" God didn't create homosexuals, the homosexuals created themselves. You can trace it back to Genesis 3 when Adam ate the forbidden fruit. Since then, we as people have been futile in our thoughts. We are all sinners. There was a chapter in a book I read called "Every Young Man's Battle" by Fred Stoeker. The chapter was called "When Your Feelings are for Other Guys" or something like that. Fred explained, usually, why someone becomes a homosexual. It's usually, because of an absent parent. It has a lot to do with psychology. You might want to do a little research on that to get more details.

But He might not prevent them from becoming afflicted with it. And He certainly does exist, wouldn't our lives be rather pointless if He didn't?

God gave us those people for a reason. If he didn't want it to happen, he wouldn't have ever made that possibility. Therefor, yes, I believe it is totally fine in his view. People who can't deal with same-sex couples need to think about that a bit more thoroughly. But, hey, what do I know... I'm only 15 and have a few friends that are dating people of the same sex. Wow... that sounds kinda... mean.... Sorry about that. I just hate when people say it's a bad thing. I, myself, am straight..... but I respect my friends and only wish that one day people will be able to look at those types of people as normal. I see a lot of bad things happen, and hear a lot of bad things being said about homosexuals... and it just isn't right.

God loves everyone. I know 3 little kids who were adopted by homosexual parents. They might get ridiculed as they get older. If anyone gets in trouble with God it should be the ones who hurt the feelings of the innocent kids and are making them doubt Wether they will go somewhere good or somewhere evil for the so-called 'mistakes' their parents made.

However, please note that Leviticus is a book of the Old Testiment- (OT) God came to earth as Jesus and the OT was put away and used for reference only. The Bible followed by Christians today is the New Testiment. (NT) That is the Book Jesus left for instruction and guidance for mankind. Saying now that people should be "put to death" for their sins sounds just like the Muslims whose Koran states that Infidels should be put to death- which is horrible! For God will be our judge, this is not mankinds responsibility. The NT tells us that homosexuality is a sin, it is abhorrent to God, it is wrong but God will be the One to judge our sins. Nope, it isn't. But it's convenient for christians to just say: "Oh, just ignore The Old Testament" just because they don't like the part where God says that homosexuals should die (Leviticus 20:13). Because there are lots of dark stuff in the Bible, especially in The Old Testament. But please people, read a little up on this stuff first. These things are also present in The New Testament. As an example; God destroys families (Matthew 10:34-37 and Luke 12:51-53).
