On "The Waltons", what did they say was wrong with Olivia , why she had to move away? They said she's sick, how?

when she and John left the show and moved to Arizona?

Olivia was diagnosed with tuberculosis (actress Michael Learned was leaving the show as a regular when her contract expired) and so had to go to a sanitarium.
