I think I want to be an antique appraiser...what steps should I take?

I have been doing some college research lately and everything...think that I might want to be an antique appraiser or dealer, since that it what I love most...what steps should I take to be one? What college degree should I get and all...?? I tried to do some research...and all I could come up with was maybe to be an art history major?

To become an antiques appraiser, you need to find a school with a curriculum focused on the subject of antiques. Then, train with an auction house, an antiques dealer or in antique restoration. For more information, visit http://www.ehow.com/how_7640444_become-antique-appraiser.html.

You don't need a college degree to be an antique appraiser.

Since more than likely you would start your own business to do that job, you should probably major in business and minor in art history or something.
