I'm supposed to drink 40 ounces of liquid (water) a day. Can coffee and milk be part of that requirement?

Coffee and milk is part of the liquid that you take, but plain water counts more on the required amount, Take the required amount as water only and then you can add other liquids. Try to avoid coffee as it is a caffeinated drink. Caffeine is defined as a drug because it stimulates the central nervous system, causing increased alertness.
