When you're good and darn ready. It took me almost 8 years to find my new girl. It could have easily been 8 days. The bottom line is there is no time that is wrong. Just follow your heart.

The time for one to be serious in a new relationship after divorce entirely depends on an individual. Some of the factors that determine time frame for one to move to a new relationship the psychological trauma suffered in the previous marriage, mistakes in the previous marriage or emotional pain or loneliness.

Agree, very good. When they're truly ready. There's nothing worse than being encouraged into a relationship by a newly divorced person who is lonely, hurt & scared, looking to you as an escape from these feelings. Turns your life upside down & rarely ends well for either person.

That depends on if you're in a hurry to fornicate. I wouldn't get serious too soon.

Give it at least 1 year, to cool off & get your head together. Don't worry, it goes by quickly.

1) depends on the length of the marriage;
2) depends on what you mean by "serious relationship".

Many counselors recommend 1 month break for each year of marriage; example, married for 5 years, don't start dating again for 5 months.
