Well the obvious choice is you can make amazing fresh pesto that can be used as a pasta sauce, salad dressing, marinade or a dipping sauce. Here are lots of other ideas to use your basil: http://www.tastespotting.com/search/basil/1.

It's really good on a sandwich, in a salad, or to make tomato salad with.

Capresse salad. Fresh tomato slices, fresh mozzarella slice on top of each tomato slice, topped with a fresh basil leaf. Drizzle good quality balsamic vinegar and good quality olive oil over all. Salt and freshly ground pepper! Bueno apetito!

Cook spaghetti until al dente. Meanwhile, in a saute pan, put 1/2 cup good olive oil over medium heat. Crush two cloves garlic with the heel of your hand. Add to olive oil. Very quickly add 4 diced plum tomatoes. Slice approx 10 large leaves of basil and add to the tomato/olive oil mixture. Stir. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Add in cooked, drained spaghetti and toss. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Delicious!!! Enjoy.

1 way that I use my basil, is sprinkle fresh/chopped basil on my spaghetti. Another way to use it, would be using it in bruschetta.
