How to get new friends?

So I'm going to be a high school freshman next year, and I want to start fresh. My 'friends' from my old school aren't nice to me, so I want to leave them to find new ones. How do I hang out with people without being a stalker? Also, how do I explain to my old friends that I don't want to hang out with them anymore?

Well, first of all, be yourself. A friend of mine told me that when we became friends freshman year. He said that high school changes people, but don't let it change you. People try to act all cool, but end up hanging out with the wrong people. And for the telling your friends, just say it straight up to them

To get new friends, you should hangout a lot around people. One of the easiest ways to grow a new friendship with somebody is to see the person often. You should also become regular friend to them. Get more tips at http://www.ehow.com/how_5119559_make-new-friends.html.

To get new FRIENDs talk to them for a while then ask them to be friends...
Like to old classmate just tell them we can all hang out in a group in lunch time or after school
