I'm sorry:( I am the same way with animals. I cried for two months over my rabbit. He was my baby! He'd literally nuzzle into my neck when I held him and he'd let me know when he wanted up, and he'd play chase. What I did was I had a close friend and we talked about all the good memories (cause she knew my bunny too) it makes you happy to remember the good times, and have someone to share with it. It's also good to let people know you miss your pet, and healthy to cry over it the first time, it's part of the grieving process. I'm sorry about your cat :( I'd be the same way. I've had mine since I was five, still have her and she's like 15 now. Just take comfort that your cat lived a long happy life with you.

I do too! I watched my mouse die too :/ animals are just such sweet creature that take up so much space in our hearts. They don't judge you, and they love you unconditionally.

I think you should tell yourself that it is time to let her go. That it is the same as somebody not wanting you to die someday. And you should thank her by doing that. Its ok. She will thank you too. Let her rest in peace. I know you feel sad, but why not feel happy for the things the cat has done for you? And all the funny times you were together.... She needs to let go of you and rest in peace... Put her in a box filled with cotton and soft mini blankets, then put a flower or something it likes in it. When my cat died, I got to put a rose in it.

I keep pictures of a cat I used to have and show it off like my kid.. That cat was my roomie in my first and second apartment.. She was my best friend. try remembering her when she was full of life and smile. Rememberer that not only did she/he brighten your life but you brightened hers/his. Keep positive, get outdoors and stay busy. Make sure you spend Alot of time outside with nature. Even if its just walking daily with headphones in.. Get out there.. Also, create things. Art, poetry, any crafts or room alterations.. Anything. Just create.

I know what it is like. My ferret had cancer and we had to put him to sleep. It was really sad but I learned to cope with it.

I can give you some tips on how to get over it. My tips are listed below.

1. Snuggle with another pet you have.

2. Cry yourself out! It is completely fine to cry.

3. Surround yourself with the things you love.

4. Try not to think about it. If you happen to do think about it then just follow the second tip.

5. If you don't want to do number 4 then think about it as much as you can!

6. Say to yourself "It is natural for things to die. I will see him again when I pass away."

Here is a poem that I found for you!

I had a cat named Smokey....he was by far the fattest cat i had ever seen.I loved him so much .He would crawl into my bed every night and sleep there. One night i didnt sleep with him when I woke up he became ill.My mom was crying saying I dont think he's gong to make it.This cat had been my best friend my whole life. When my mom had told me that my heart shattered. We couldnt afford to take him to a vet.We searched online for hours looking for a free vet that wouldnt put him down.We had finally found one.We said our goodbyes and told him we would see him again .About 4 hours later we get a phone call from the vet. They had put Smokey down.My heart was crushed. It has been a year since he died.to tell you the truth I have moved on.My advice to you is to make a box of all of your cats favorite things then make a friendship bracelet and put one in the box and wear the other one.I know it sounds dorky but it helps. Also make a diary to your cat as if your cat was the diary.I know that also sounds dorky but try it anyways.Try to think of anything else that can make you happy..do anything that gets your mind of the cat. After a while you will move on.read comments

Hey. Im so sorry. I have been trying to reach you but i figured this was one way. Im so so so so so so sorry. Its time to let her ( is it a girl?) go. If she is in pain its the best thing to do. It will hurt you but she will always be in your heart and you never know. You could get her stuffed LOL XD sorry i wanted to make you laugh.
