Yes He could. The answer may come down to something very unpleasant and unpopular: that the problem of evil and suffering doesn't point the finger at God, but at us. The Bible says, "It is appointed unto men once to die, and after that the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). God will not stand before our judgment seat. We will stand before His. Suffering is many things, but in the end it is God's invitation to us to trust Him, and to look forward to a place where all suffering will forever be replaced by Joy-Heaven.
its because in the beginning of the bible someone ate the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but if they never ate it we would never know what is good and what is evil, so there for its better off to know evil.
ever heard of yin and yang? there is a balanced, that no one really gets, between good and evil to sustain life itself. if God is all knowing like he is made out to be, he might know about this balance and how it shouldn't be touched. just saying. and also, if everything in the world is good, then where is the fun in life?
If god controlled our lives there would be no need for him. Sometimes things happen and god can't just make them disappear. There are people who chose not to believe in god, who think he's a fake. Those are the evil people. I am not saying people who don't believe in god are evil, just evil people don't believe in god.
Not really a god believer but with bad there is no good, and if god is real I imagine that he would be giving us the chance to become wise too... It's like a mother who shelters her children not only would they never grow up but would never have any true appreciation for her unless she let them see all the things she was sheltering them from
Some would say for free will but the truth is you have no free will; you have the illusion of free will. You are able to move this vessel to the extent of it's limitations but it is a limited vessel none the less. Free will is the ability to do any thing. When I kill god I will tell you he has given me free will. Evil is allowed to exist because the god of the bible does not actually exist, he threw us in a pit of ravenous humans and said 'survive.' This is not divinity at work it's a complex form of sea monkeys at best. A good god would want to stop it but This god is either impotent or does not care to or simply does not exist.
In the Bible in Genesis, it says that when God created the everything he saw that it was good. Everything was good and then the fall of man happened. No one made Eve eat the apple and Eve didn't force Adam to eat it either, it was their choice. It's mans choice to sin and do evil, it's also mans choice to repent and ask forgiveness of their sins. God does care, and even though it seems hard sometimes, just ask God for help and he will help you.
As a parent, I have to disagree that he'd want to. Pain is a necessary part of growing up. If we as parents remove all the evil from our children's lives, they'd never even get out of the womb, let alone into adulthood. We as humans are still infants in the large scheme of things. We must suffer evil to know true goodness. Only a selfish God who did not want to feel pain himself would take that gift away from us.

God's plan was to have us live in "Paradise" without evil, hatred, sin and death or even the knowledge thereof, but it was not mandatory to stay or accept that arrangement. The alternative was available to mankind (through Adam and Eve as proxy) who, despite the warnings, wanted the knowledge to make their own choice.
This decision banished Adam, Eve and all their descendents from living in Paradise and created a separation from God. So now we live in a place/realm/dimension where evil resides with us.
Now it is in our hands to choose to connect with this world or to seek a connection with God and return to Paradise. In the meantime, we all must endure the same trials and tribulations to reach that goal. If God makes it easier for one or the other to go through life...there would be complaints about preferential treatment or favoritism.
He is a God of Order. In the beginning, no sin was committed for a time. Only one restriction for Adam and Eve. They broke that restriction, thus, causing them to sin. God had given mankind the freedom to choose because He chose to. We just have to accept that truth as something that we can't change. Man's choices determine many things, both pleasant and unpleasant. Now, God does intervene in an individual's life in some of the horrific events that takes place. There are times that He heals, He has already provided Salvation for all who choose, He comforts etc. But mankind doesn't seem to focus on that as a whole. God spares even a whole nation if He can find enough faithful. But, we as a whole, continue to look, as we do, at the sin and bad things more than looking upward to God. When we do humble ourselves and let go of pride, we can see changes, one individual at a time. But, the choice is ours. We do reap what we sow, whether it be living in the blessing of God or under the curse of sin that we are born into.
Free will and human choice. Evil is here because of us, not God, and He doesnt stop it because its the result of freely made human choice which He rarely interferes with because to do so cancels the 'free choice' thing.
You are right in saying God is all good, all powerful, and all knowing! So if we follow these statements to there logical conclusion one could say there is evil in the world because God is all good all powerful and all knowing! Because God is all these things and more we can trust he is using his attributes to ultimately further good!
God can and will eventually remove evil from the world. To do that requires complete judgment against anyone not perfectly holy and righteous, which basically includes the whole world. Since God is also merciful, He is waiting patiently for as many as possible to escape that judgment and receive the gift of His salvation through Jesus Christ. That is why He is called Savior, to save us from sin and judgment. But yes, God has a plan, in His perfect time to create what some might call 'paradise'--with no sickness or death, no sin, hate, greed, selfishness. The Bible calls it the 'kingdom of God' and entrance is simple (see Gospel of John, chapter 3).
Because Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. They brought evil into the world. That hurt God because He wants the best for us so that we will honor and worship Him. God really wants us to love Him. Sure He could force us to do it but that wouldn't prove that we really do. So by giving us choice We can prove ourselves worthy of Him by choosing Him and not evil. God is perfect and our sins must be washed away to be able to be in His presence. So He sent His son to free us of our sins by believing in Him and asking for forgiveness. Our "job" is to love God. That is why He created us.
You might also want to ask, did god also make a mistake when he created satan? For surely he knew, as god, that this angel would turn against him and be cast into hell. Or did he design satan for that very purpose? And if so, why? God creates the evil & then places it on the earth to.... what? Test us? See how much he can torture us? To lavish the suffering that he devised for us? Suppose I were to build an evil robot, that I knew would go around torturing & murdering people. Whose fault would it be if I let it loose? Mine or the robot's? Of course it'd be mine, for I created it with that purpose & unleashed it for that purpose. Now I ask u, whose fault is deviltry in the world? Is it the PUPPET Satan's or the God's that deliberately created Satan's evil?
awesome question.there no such thing as god and religion.life is all just scientific.everything just happens, good and bad.if there is really a god that is so good there shouldn't be any bad on earth right !!
It's kinda like with a dentist I guess. You could say you don't believe in them because people go with terrible teeth. Why? They didn't accept a dentist. They lived their life without one. Well, it's kinda the same way with God. If you haven't accepted Him into your heart, then you will probably become ruled by sin and evil. And why would God helped who haven't accepted Him?
