Will this bat die?

ive got a bat at the top of my stairs, it as fell from my attic when i opened the attic door, i have thrown a towel over it, will it die?

Maybe, but I advise you to check out if you've been bit. Go to a doctor to be sure, the bat can be infected. You never know, same thing happened to my friend, but the bat had rabies.

It might take a while, but eventually it will die of starvation

Usually when u put a cover over there eyes they calm down and don't move as much. But if it's a thick heavy blanket you might suffocate it.

The bat must be sick for it to behave that way. I advise you to get it out of your house as soon as possible, make sure that you do not come in direct contact with any bat saliva or feces, and wash thoroughly immediately. If you have been bitten or scratched, contain the bat in a strong box, taped shut, and seek medical attention. Take the bat with you... if they can do a necropsy on the bat, it may keep you from having to have very painful anti-rabies injections. Bats also carry histoplasmosis, a potentially deadly respiratory infection. Wear a proper respirator when cleaning up bat feces (guano).

Let the damn thing free!! :/ why put a towel ovr it??? Oh well my dad caught a bat once cause it was fkying around in my attic. He let it out at night.
