Of course. I can believe in unicorns, but in order for that to pertain to religion, I would have to worship them. Belief is the psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values
As a matter of fact I do. There is a difference because in religion, you must believe and worship a superhuman controlling power, but when you have belief in something, you just accept that it's true or real, but don't necessarily worship it.

I am like the definition of this : ) My religion is Christianity, but I am a Christian Witch. I follow beliefs from the Christians, as well as the Wiccans. I did this because I have always been interested in Wicca and Witchcraft, but I didn't want to leave God and Jesus. So I studied really hard and found a way to combine them to where they were together in harmony : ) the way I think about your question is that they influence each other. your beliefs determine your religion, and your religion puts limits on what you can believe. I hope I helped : )
Sure. All religion is based on a set of beliefs but not all beliefs are religious. (i believe George Washington was our first president and that crawfish etoufee is wonderful but neither of those is religious in nature) In fact ive found that trying to find my way out from under religion to find honest biblical Truth has opened my eyes to a great many lies and misinterpretations perpetrated by rabid religious types. Religion is dangerous, esp to the religious themselves because its made them loose sight and understanding of Truth in many ways.
