Last week i got 3 dollars and it was in 1 dollar bills why do they not make 3, or 4 dollar bills

They do make, or at least have made $2 dollar bills. Most people don't like them and don't use them. If you follow the logic of coins you have pennies and and nickels and dime and quarters and dollar coins. You can make any combination of change with those coins. Same goes for $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. There really is no practical use for a $2 bill.

They still do, just you have to request them from a bank.

The 2, 3 or 4 dollar bills are not being made because the Department of Treasury declared the bills to be unpopular. However, the 2 dollar bill is often reissued according to the demand and you can request for it at a local bank. Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_two-dollar_bill for more details.

I keep a $2 bill in wallet for good luck. They probably don't make the others so much because you can get there w/ the $1 bills.
