Why does my skin turn red after I get out of the shower?

after I take a shower (usually in hot water) my skin gets red all over and looks like a rash.

Because of the hot water. You probably get dry skin too. Try taking warm showers instead of hot ones.

You should use warm water when showering, this will help to reduce the irritation.

It's because the heat makes your blood rise or something like that and/or u get a slits burn. (this also happens to me)

Because blood is trying to regulate your body temp.....your red because your body is trying to heat you by "pushing" blood to your dermis

That happens to me all the time, it is because the water is too hot. They go away shortly after the shower but if you don't like them I suggest turning down the Temperature of the water in your shower or not staying in the hot water as long

As everyone has said it's because the water is hot. When our skin is hot or irritated the blood rises to the surface. This isn't a bad thing or harmful (if you actually get little bumps forming on your skin the water is probably to hot).
However another reason bumps may form is due to clogged or extra oily pores. When the heat brings the blood to the surface it forces out the oils.
If you want to clean the pores on your face (get rid of pimples) wash your face with warm to hotter water to open the pores before you do your facial cleansing. Don't do this the day before an event you don't want to have a pimple on your face.
Having to hot a shower is also not good for your hair. We shed hair all the time but again with a really hot shower the pores in your scalp open and more hair falls out. Having a warm to cooler shower prevents extra hair falling out during a shower.
Another thing you can do is turn the temp down near the end of your shower to cool your skin and close pores.
Hope this helps :)
