Is it my responsibility to make sure my landlord writes the correct month on my rent receipt?

His wife wrote me the receipt and she wrote the wrong month. I am behind 1 month on my rent and went I went to pay the next months rent, his wife wrote the date for July, the moth I was paying for, but he is saying i should have corrected that and made her write June, that is the month I am late. So, he is saying I payed June's and I am behind on July's. What can I do about this if he tries to evict me?

It is your responsibility to make sure that your receipt has the correct date. If you have not paid for the month of July, then you have to sort it out with your landlord. This is because you knew you had not paid for June. Try to talk to him and maybe he will not evict you.

You owe for both June (late) and July (late if due before today). Her writing the wrong month doesn't give you free month's rent.
