In minecraft, is it possible to use redstone on an Iron door?

I was wanting to make a storage room you have to open with a switch in a secret room.

In Minecraft, it is possible to use Redstone on an Iron door. It is possible to use it and come up with a good construction that will be firm. yes, you can use it with a pressure plate, button, switch, redstone torch, and redstone repeaters and pistons. These are all mechanisms for redstone
