Nothing really. It's normal for periods to come a little late and sometimes it might not even come at all, especially if you have just started your periods. If you have been have been having regular periods for a while and they stop you should see a gynecologist.
Sometimes periods are irregular (and they will come early, late or anywhere in between), so it doesn't necessarily mean anything. If you are consistently irregular, or are having any other abnormal symptoms, you should probably call your ob-gyn for a check up.
It could be from stress, exercising more than usual or it could be a more serious health problem. To be irregular once in a while is considered normal. If it happens a lot, see your ob/gyn. Also, you said it's 6 days late: is it 6 days late and finally started, or 6 days and counting? If you haven't started yet, there's the obvious answer for a late period- pregnancy. I'd recommend doing a home pregnancy test if you haven't yet! Good luck!
I think this might probably mean that you have an irregular period this time round. Stress can make one miss a period and does not necessarily mean you are pregnant but if you are worried take a pregnancy test and see a doctor to confirm this.
