What are some good workouts I should try to get ready for the CPAT? (Firefighting)

I want to go ahead and start working out so it's not so tough on me.

I would think a good workout plan for you would include weight lifting to increase strength and running or other aerobic exercise to increase endurance and increase heart-lung efficiency and strength. Think about the things a firefighter has to do on the job and design a program that will make you able to do those things better.

Work on your Arm's! Holding on to that hose is one of the hardist things. When you have to do the stair clime w/ hose in hand you will thank me:-)

Good workouts you can do to get ready for the CPAT include running, weight lifting, squats, push ups and pull-ups. These exercises are necessities because you will take up several difficult events at the CPAT like stair climbing, equipment carry, search and hose drags.
