How to get rid of canker sores fast and prevent them in the future?

The sores are caused by my braces which I've had on for almost a year and it is hurting SO much how can I get rid of it fast and also prevent them in the future?

Use a q-tip to apply hydrogen peroxide to the irritated area. It will desensitize the area quickly. Use the wax the orthodontist gave you if the irritations are caused by the wires. Good luck.
