Can passengers hear one another w/o headphones when they're on a chinook?

A Chinook is a double propeller, 30-man capacity chopper. And if passengers can't hear one another typically, do you suppose one could be soundproofed to improve communication ability? ...for book research. Money is no object.

Trump had two Chinooks to run clients from NY to Atlantic City, I'm sure they were well insulated.

Very loud, most people can't hear other people, plus it's very damaging to your ears.

That's what people have said, but I didn't know if that was for the inside too. Like, most aircraft is much louder passing over than it is for the passengers.
