Use Motion to create a spilt screen. Select the scene. Then import the footage. Then bring the first angle into the timeline using the overwrite button. Then press the home key to bring the play head to the front of the sequence. Next, create a new track... So use "Ctrl Click" to "add a track". After that, drag your V1 video track up to the "2" position. Then bring in the next piece of footage. You'll see how the new footage covers the old footage and that the layer sits n top of the old layer of footage. Now double-click on the top layer on the viewer and go into the motion tab. Here's where you shrink the image and create a scale.Try making it about 70%... you'll see the old image behind it now. Now over to the cameras... drag the shrunken footage to the right. It's important to maintain a boarder... so go back over to Motion and use the "crop" feature. Play around with cropping until you're satisfoied with the boarder. You will now repeat these steps with the other layer (layer 1) of footage now. You've now created a split screen.
