I am doing a sponsorship to stay living in Canada. Well a few days ago my friend said hey let's try a everything bagel. read below

so we ate the bagels. came home told my hubby we stoped for bagels. he says poppy seeds show up as drugs. I freaked bc I still have to do a physical for the sponsorship. plz help

Poppyseeds can cause you to test positive for opiates. After a number of public cases, they raised the basal reading required to "fail" the drug test for opiates, so its unlikely a single bagel will cause you to fail. If you have some time between now and your physical (say a month or so) - you are fine.

Your husband is right, poppy seed bagels do show up as drugs in a drug test. They actually make you high if you eat lots of them. yes they do show up as drugs but you would have had to had alot of them id suggest drinking aLOT of water to be on the safe side

Hubby is right.. When you go for your physical bring a bagel with poppy seeds to show. That should be sufficient explanation. You will probably be rescheduled for testing.
