What is mmpi-2 profile elevation?

When a person does an MMPI-2 what does the "profile elevation" mean? If I did the MMPI-2 and my provile elevation is 43.3 what is the significance of it?

I'm afraid you need an advanced degree and a few other credentials before you're qualified to interpret results from the mmpi. Scoring high in one of those indexes doesn't necessarily mean much on it's own; they need to compare various parts of the test to each other. Even if in the end it says you score much like someone with narcissistic personality, or whatever, it doesn't mean that you actually have a personality disorder. You can't diagnose someone based on the test alone. I hope that helps, and do try seeking out someone qualified to answer all of your questions, it can be rather interesting.

Well actually I am not refering to any of the scales, my MMPI-2 was relativaly normal all within normal ranges and alot of them on the low side saying I am calm and at peace, I have all the professional interpertation for that however on the bottom not in the scales it says "profile elevation 43.3" and no explanation of what that is
