What you need to do is buy Neutrogena invigorating foaming scrub or Clean and Clear exfoliating scrub. Then, buy an exfoliating facial sponge. They are a dollar at Wal-Mart. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Paris-Presents-Exfoliating-Facial-Sponge/14654102. Use the sponge with the facial scrub. It doesn't feel good but, it gets the dirt and oil off your face. I wouldn't suggest using it everyday. I did for about a week then I started using it every other day. Find some toner. It helps balance the pH in your skin. Neutrogena alcohol-free toner is what I use. Also, if you do have a pimple that comes up I use some stuff that can be bought at Dollar General. It is 10% benzoyl peroxide and, it is like a spot treatment. BTW, proactive has 2.5%. You can buy it in a name brand form from Wal-Mart but, this stuff works just as well. I had tried a 10% benzoyl peroxide face wash but, it didn't work. I swear buy this stuff. At one point I was using it every day and, i actually started to have dry skin in some places and, I have never had dry skin in my like.

Just thought I'd tell you about the exfoliating facial sponges I use. You can get 4 for a $1 at 99 Cent Only stores. They are with the make up/hair brush section and are orange in a clear bag with purple on it. They are a little bit more rough than the ones at Walmart but I prefer it. Online you can only buy a case which has 24 packages with 4 in each package. But if you know of a 99 cent only store by you, you can get it for $1 or search the brand to see if any dollar store by you carries them. http://www.99only.com/club99/health-beauty-essentials/beauty-care/wonder-puff-4-pack

I use toothpaste, however every face reacts differently. My regime is toothpaste every other night. I use Johnson & Johnson baby wash on all the other nights. This makes it so my face doesn't get too dry plus it's really gentle. I would try toothpaste and see how it looks after about a week or two of every other night. Use warm water to rinse it off otherwise it will leave a film. I usually have to rinse twice as many times than with normal wash. Try using a paste not a gel.
I use it as an all over face wash, not a spot treatment like most people. Wet face with warm water, spread toothpaste on hands and run together then spread over face and leave on as long as you can stand it (30-60 seconds) DON'T OPEN YOUR EYES and then rinse.

Do you really have acne or just pimples? Wash your face every night with baby shampoo, rinse well, use a cotton ball with witch hazel as an astringent to close your pores. When you squeeze the blemishes, do it after you bathe so your skin is soft and pliable and make sure they are ready before you start squeezing on them. Pierce them first with a clean needle and take a tissue and gently mash all around the pimple. Follow up with witch hazel. You should exfoliate once a week (I use the apricot scrub by St Ives) Gently rub on your face don't scrub and rinse well, following up with the witch hazel. Your hands and fingers carry around a lot of bacteria so always make sure your hands are clean and keep them off your face. This is an old remedy that my grandmother taught me to use and it won't break the bank. DON'T USE TOOTHPASTE!!

Just try washing your face a few times a day. Also, put a drop of lemon juice and a drop of olive oil on a ice cube and run it over your face. For me, it cleared up the major things, but not all of it. (I have really oily skin)

My son swears that Tea Tree Oil works great. It can be found in beauty supply stores. You might also consider going to a Dermatologist who can prescribe proper medication for your type of acne. DON'T PICK! It causes scars.

I use St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub, it exfoliates the face, it's hypoallergenic and oil free.... It has helped me a lot with my breakouts, better than most acne products in my opinion...
