If you are cremated, you get burned down into ash and but in a urn. If you are buried, you get put in a coffin and buried, then your body slowly decomposes, feeding bugs and mites and fertilising the ground in which you lay. Spiritually speaking, that depends on your beliefs and religion. :)
Well if you believe and accept the Holy Spirit into your heart, you go to heaven. If you reject Him, you go to Hell. Btw it's really epic reading about heaven! :O seriously you don't go up to heaven, heaven comes down to earth. New Jerusalem is the capital city. So the world will become perfect again and we will live forever in true peace.... So much win
I'm a believer and there's two places we could go by reason of our choice. HEAVEN OR HELL!====================================There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. (Luke 16:19-31 KJV)

IT IS WRITTEN: Isaiah 26:14 They are dead, they shall not live, they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish. Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they anymore a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment.
As the Catechism says, death puts an end to human life as the time open to either accepting or rejecting the divine grace manifested in Christ. In other words there are no opportunities to grow in holiness, no second chances. After we die we immediately stand before the judgement seat of Jesus and He will reward us based on how we have lived our lives, on how we have responded to the blessings and graces He gave us. This is called the particular judgement, because it refers to each of us individually. If we have died in the state of grace, we will go to Heaven or spend some time in purgatory. If we have died in a state of mortal sin, we will immediately go to Hell. Many of our culture are afraid of death. Why? Probably because they do not really grasp the meaning of life. We need to prepare ourselves for death by living our lives as Jesus calls us to, by loving Him with all our strength and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Many of the great saints longed for their time on earth to come to an end so that they could go home to be with the Lord. They were unafraid of death because they understood the purpose of life and lived it: They loved.
The Bible teaches that the dead rest in the earth until the resurrection at the second coming of the Christ. It claims that Moses and Jesus are the only two named people who have died, raised from the dead then taken to Heaven
when the body dies, you wait for your punishment, either heaven or hell...but nobody knows exactly for how long you stay until you reach your final destination, depends how many bad things youve done while alive...the thing is you have to regret the bad things, but deeply
We will stand before God, it is your judgement day, (not to be confused with resurrection, when Christ will return) We account for repented sins, ( good works do not offset them, it isn't score keeping). Most importantly we remember that thru the Father;s grace, we are saved by faith in the Son. Your soul will be in heaven until the resurrection. I hope you will take sometime to read the new testament, the answers are there
I am a minister and can tell you that we are usually not taught correctly from the Bible what really happens when we die. The Bible never said that when someone dies they go to heaven or hell. It actually tells us in Ecclesiastes 9:5 that the human body will not know anything. It will be absolutely conscious of nothing at all. Christians normally look at heaven as the "real life". If you think about Adam and Eve. Did they look at the real life as after dying they go to heaven? No, because dying was a punishment for them not a reward. I hope this helps. I only teach exactly what the Bible teaches so if you want to know more or have more questions just let me know.
Nothing. Why not read the Bible and see what the creator of humans have to say about that? He created us, therefore he knows us the best and he has the answer to your question too.In Bible Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 "5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She?ol, the place to which you are going." And here it clearly says that nothing will happen to us when we die. No heaven, no hell. Just dead and there is nothing.
