Why is oppression occurring in Uganda

I believe there is oppression in Uganda going on because of partly a rift between different ethnic groups. The difference in way of life between the upper and lower class also causes a rift among the people leading to civil wars. Atrocities have also been committed by Joseph Kony the leader of the Lord's Resistance army. Many other resistances opposing the current government, bringing about oppression.
