My niece is about the same age and she loves animals, playing outside, and doing crafts. You could take her to the zoo and then get ice cream afterwards? You guys could make crafts together? hint: little girls love glitter and sparkles (: But, most importantly, she'll just be happy to spend time with you if you're happy too (: Even something as simple as playing hide and seek in the house or doing chalk on the driveway is fun!
I completely agree with writer4life! Your attention is going to mean the most to her : ) I'm sure she would like to be read to as well. Make each character have a different voice maybe?? They really feel like you're paying attention to them when you're reading! You could paint her nails, have a "spa day" at your house, or go to Ulta and play with the sample makeup, lol! I learned with my daughter, one thing to always remember is that they literally see things differently. Sometimes to see things their way, it helps to get on their level - down on one knee ; )
I have 5 year olds also. We like to do arts and crafts together. A fun project is to get a cheap orange flower pot and spray paint it white. Let it dry and give her some paint and she can paint on it. You can then put potting soil and let her pick out seeds/flowers and you guys can plant them in the pot and give it to her mom when she returns to pick her up. Or you can even google craft project and see what comes up. I am sure you will find tons of ideas.
There is lots of fun stuff you can do together. Whether it's going to the beach for a day or riding bikes at the park. You could bake cookies together or just stay at home and watch movies and play board games. Go to the spa and have a girls day. There are endless possibilities! Just as long as you two are having fun together is what matters. The smallest things is what makes the biggest memories. At least that's how it is with me:)
1. Buy a clay pot and some of her fav color paints and have her make a hand print around the pot get some dirt and put a flower in it (maybe get two one for you to keep and one for her to take home:) 2 get some chalk and some water and dip the chalk into the water and draw with it on black paper 3 I always loved to cook with my grandma in the summer I would go to her house and we would always make peach cobbler if you have fields by you maybe you could go pick some fruit and then make something with it or just go to the store and get what you need
