I'm in trouble, what do I do?

Last night I stayed up way later than I was supposed to (I was at home though) and now I'm in big trouble. The problem is that I really didn't know what time it was, but they don't believe me. How do I tell them that a lost track of time in a way that they'll believe me? I don't want to get in trouble for something I did on accident. Please reply soon, thanks.

If your parents don't believe you after you told them the truth, I doubt they will no matter you tell them. At this point, you will have to come up with a convicting lie, tell them what they want to hear or accept their punishment. I think you should agree to what they say and make sure you done stay up too late.

This is helpful, but what do I say? Do I apologize? Do I lie and apologize?

You don't need to lie you need to let your parents know that you are been honest and do not want to lie and assure them that you will be more careful in checking your time next time. If they still don't believe you know next time to keep track of your time.
