Agreed with RickyRich. If you weight is really over that for your height (ie 5'2" 180lbs) then worry, but first ask your doctor, or school nurse. Comparing yourself to anyone else at 13 is tricky: you're in a cycle of changes now. Do some research(not just the teen spots or fashionads) and talk to a health professional.
It all depends upon your body type and your bone structure. Please don't concern yourself with the weight of your mother! Simply because she's your mother, it doesn't by any means indicate you're overweight. Let me give you an example. Before I became healthy and lost 130 pounds, I used to weigh 290 pounds and wore size 22's. I measure 5'5" tall. My mother was 5'4" (only 1" shorter) and at one point weighed 180 pounds (almost 90 less pounds than I did) and wore a size 22 as well. See the difference! My mother's bone structure was much smaller than mine and therefore, couldn't carry as much weight as I did! The best advice I can give you is at your next physical examination appointment with your doctor, simply ask him that question. He/she can give you expert advice based strictly upon YOUR body type and bone structure which he can easily measure for you. It matters not what your mother weighs, rest assured. Also remember my friend, weight isn't everything...it's what's inside that truly counts. My best to you!
