Do you really stop working on Sabbath? If you work, do you have to die?

Because of some particular reasons, I really have to work on Sundays and Sabbath. What about you? But the God full of love want people to be stoned to death. I don't know whether I should abide by that rule.

Work if you need to.. We're under grace after Christ came ...
The concept was "rest" from work which is a great command..
GOD also commanded the Jews on the 7th year to let the land rest from harvesting ...very smart because the land was allowed to restore itself with minerals and nutrients..
It was a great command in the old testament and a great suggestion to still follow today..
But hell is not even in the equation if you don't.
Hope that helps.

If you're asking if you die if you work on a Sunday, no. But I would advise you to stay in church, you want to hear about God's wonderful promise don't you?

No in the New Testament Jesus heals on the Sabbath showing that that part of the Law didn't exist anymore because He was the Law.. therefore you can work on the Sabbath.

Think of it this way: (With a love mindset) You dad or mom worked their butts off throughout the week. They can't wait for the weekend. And they want to spend time with you. What is your reaction? Mine is Mom, Dad, I scheduled my events so that we could be close together on the weekends. Let's hang out. That's where church comes in. The other example is the oxen falling down the well. My reaction (from the parents' point of view) Honey, it is okay. You go do your thing and we will hang out later on.

This is the 21st century, mate!! Primitive rules that applied two thousand years ago are no longer relevant. When you work and how you live your life is your decision and does not cause any religious offence to God. You and He will be looking at your entire life one day and how and when you earned a living is a minor consideration. Priests have to work on Sunday and the Sabbath - are they all going to be damned for eternity?

There is nothing wrong working on sunday in is not the Sabbath saturday is the seventh day of the week; Pastors are working to the glory of God and not theirselves.

The true Sabbath is sundown friday night until sundown Saturday. We are not to work; the only exception is doing Gods work, ask yourself does this work glorify God or me: if it glorifies God you are good to go, if not then do not do it. Put it in Gods hands He will protect you, that is what I did. Where I worked the contract said two out of three Saturdays they could force us to work or lose our job, I would not work on Saturday: kept my job and was there long enough to retire. Trust in God He will see you through.

The command says to make the seventh day holy and to celebrate it. While the word seventh does share a play on words with the concept of rest, this does not mean cease all work. To do so would require you to stop breathing. Rather, you are to take a break from the work cycle and spend a day in community with others, celebrating God's creation and holiness.

You do not see people dying by the billions who works on sabbath all over the world, do u? Is it not proof enough to reject the superstition that you would die, if you worked on sabbath?

Keeping the sabbath was a commandment given to the Jews.

If you are Jewish, the Sabbath is given as a blessing, and reminds us that rest is part of creation. I know of no modern death penalty imposed by anyone anywhere for breaking sabbath, but you can feel free to start a new trend, if you wish. Just get a legislature to enact the law, and a judge to impose it. But it strikes me that is an extreme interpretation and you may have trouble, because even religious people don't agree with your view.

The Law of Moses was written to the Jews. The Sabbath is Saturday. Jesus worked (healed, picked grain, etc) on the Sabbath. Jesus was sinless. Are you following so far? Jesus taught that man is greater than the Sabbath; the Sabbath is not greater than man. He taught that those who worship God do so in spirit and in truth. The covenant of grace through Jesus supersedes the covenant of the law through Moses, and is for anyone who seeks a relationship with the living God.
Still there? Anyone who chooses to keep the law is required to keep it all. Can you keep all of it? No one can. That was the purpose of the Law, to reveal our sin and lead us to Christ. So if you are a follower of Christ, no, you are not under the Law.
"For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."

The law of God IS the law of Moses. Who do you think gave Moses the law? It is interchangeable in the Bible. Now, though we are saved by grace through faith, God said He will write His laws in our inward parts-Jeremiah 31:33. He said that unless your righteousness exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20. Remembering the Sabbath and keeping it Holy never changed. He tells you specifically in Exodus 20:8-11. He said if you love me, keep my commandments. People change the day; do what they want- but that is not what He said to do. It would be like saying- lie a little- adultery a little- steal a little. No, His Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us enables us to love Him with our whole heart, mind, soul and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. He said this will fulfill the law. In doing this, the 10 won't be broken anyways! He wants us to LOVE His statues, precepts and commandments like King David did- even though he wasn't perfect! But he repented. So should we walk with Christ, once saved, walking and seeking Him and HIS ways and not our own.

Also, collosians, Galations and Romans are not talking about changing the day. They are about false teachers telling them in collosians to abase themselves in their Holy days, new moons and sabbaths ( annual sabbaths-festivals-and the weekly sabbaths) by don't eat thus- don't touch that etc...to try to be more holy! Paul said you are free from that-not the holy dat itself- these were dietary enslavements. In Galations they were going back to pagen observements! Seasons, time, astral stuff back to the pagan calendar! In Romans, again dietary regulations on the days. Sabbath is Sabbath. THE Sabbath. The Holy Day. And to Keep it Holy as unto the Lord.

Christ never said to change when Sabbath is. He himself kept it. Also Paul went to the synagogue on Sabbath even after the resurrection.
