I believe they can run a check on any person, suspicious or not .. they do random checks all the time .. and rightfully so .. That just happens to be part of their job .. What is the point of issuing a warrant for someone's arrest (for what ever reason) .. and if encountered by the police, they should just be let go?
That's not even logical. If someone, for any reason comes in contact with the police, it's only logical that they be checked out to see if there are any warrants out for their arrest. THAT's what keeps the bad guys accountable.
Warrants are issue for a multitude of reasons from not showing up for a court appearance .. to parking ticket infractions.
Don't pay any attention to that drone Joko123....he doesn't know his elbow from his.....oboe (that'll have to do). If you have been pulled over in a traffic stop or if you are involved in a matter where police are called it is their duty to run a check on you and your vehicle (if needed/involved). A warrant indicates you are wanted for something already proven. You either have a debt or punishment to pay. This is an injustice to good citizens and also puts them at risk.
